Terms of use

Dynamics & the Dynamics Discord add-on · last updated 20 August 2026

Plain version: this is a free tool for organising your own thinking. It doesn't judge anyone, it can't keep you safe, and it isn't advice. Use it for your own relationships, not to control someone else's.

These terms cover the Dynamics app and the optional Discord add-on. Using either means you accept them. How your data is handled is a separate document — see the privacy notice — and nothing here reduces your rights under data protection law.

01Who runs this

Dynamics is built and run by Fox (cindiekinzz), an individual in Scotland, reachable at cindiekinzz@gmail.com. It is offered free, with no company behind it and no support commitment.

02You must be 18 or over

Adults only

Dynamics deals with adult relationships and sexual practice. You must be 18 or over to use it, including the Discord add-on.

There's no age check — the app has no accounts and asks nothing about you, which is deliberate. That makes this a rule you're expected to hold, not one the software enforces. If you are under 18, stop here.

03What this is not

Dynamics is a notebook with structure. It is not:

If you are in danger, this app is the wrong tool. Talk to someone you trust, or to a support service. In an emergency in the UK, call 999.

04Using it fairly

Don't use Dynamics to:

The Ledger is a shared record between two consenting adults who have both chosen it. Anything that turns it into surveillance of someone is outside what this tool is for, and access may be withdrawn.

05Your data and your codes

Almost everything stays on your device, and the parts that sync are encrypted. The practical consequences of that are yours to hold:

06The Discord add-on

The bot holds a working key to your Ledger. It has to, in order to answer "what's due today". So the person running the bot is able to read your Ledger. It is optional, off unless you turn it on, and you can end it at any time with /forgetme.

Discord also processes everything sent through it, including the text you type as command arguments. If something shouldn't pass through a chat service, put it in the app instead.

Both people in a pair link separately and can unlink separately. Nobody needs their partner's permission to leave, and leaving is never announced to the channel.

07No guarantees

This is provided "as is". It may be unavailable, may lose data, may change, and may stop entirely. There is no uptime promise and no obligation to keep any feature working. Where practical you'll be given notice before something is shut down, and the app is built so your data can always be exported and kept without us.

08Liability

To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from using Dynamics — including lost data, decisions made with it, or anything that happens in a relationship it was used to think about.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights under UK consumer law, which stand whatever this document says.

09Ending it

Stop using it whenever you like — delete the app data, unpair, or run /forgetme. Access to the Discord add-on may be withdrawn if it's being used against section 04, and the service may be discontinued at any time.

10Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, the add-on will ask for your consent again rather than assuming it — see the privacy notice.

11Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer elsewhere in the UK, this doesn't remove the protection of your local law.
